designing for unusual architecture: creativity without limits

At Kathy Corbet Interiors, we love working with unconventional spaces and unique client visions. Where other see architectural limitations, we see design opportunities.

This is a curved industrial shell turned refined living space. We embraced the lack of conventional walls and created warmth with texture, custom furnishings, and intentional sightlines. We consider it a masterclass in transforming raw form into inviting function.

A client commissioned a custom SUV and asked for a bold interior. We matched the luxe, modern styling of the vehicle with sleek finishes, sculptural textures, and edgy details.

A home with vertical movement and natural surroundings called for clever spatial planning and visual flow. We added bold colors to move with the staircase, allowing architecture and interior design to harmonize—creating visual rhythm without losing the expansive feel.

Downsizing to 900 square feet in an industrial penthouse apartment was fun.  We went with the odd shaped spaces in this old tobacco warehouse and made it work.

We love designing for spaces that challenge norms—non-rectilinear rooms, asymmetrical volumes, and bold lines.

We turn client passions (cars, art, architecture, anything!) into integrated design stories.

We use scale, proportion, and materiality to make challenging spaces feel intentional and luxurious.
