Preserving charm while introducing modern functionality

Here, we added built-ins to the parlor that picked up on the existing trim details.  They look like they have always been there..

In the kitchen, we respected the home’s layout while updating surfaces, flow, and appliances.

We enhanced the original hearths as focal points without over-modernizing.

In creating this mudroom we focused on integrating new, functional spaces while maintaining period character.

We were able to retaining the original architectural woodwork while refreshing the surrounding palette.  

We reworked awkward existing conditions to harmonize with the new plan. This storage closet had to remain, so we turned it into a charming butler pantry.
