7 must-have Appliances for luxe kitchens

The appliance choices are endless. Let us walk you through some of the newer options available that we make sure our clients learn about and consider for their new status cook space.

  1. An integrated Fridge

This one is always a great debate. Should you show it off or conceal it?

Integration means zero clearance doors:  doors that open within the same plane as the cabinet doors.  They can be panel ready and part of the cabinetry.

2. Or, a Show-off Fridge

Showing off your appliances is the newest way to go.  Let your stainless show or go for a color.

3. A colored Range

The range is the centerpiece in your kitchen.  Consider one of the colorful choices available and the kitchen design will follow.

The first is Aga in British Racing Green. Next we have Ilva in white.

My favorite is La Cornue with its many color choices.

Your kitchen will reassert itself as the gathering place with any one of these as the focal point. It comes across as bold but really has roots in vintage kitchen design.

4. Technology

The graphic user interface is being introduced in more products than ever and the kitchen has not been left out.

5. Induction Cooktops

Induction cooktops can cook just as well as gas.  The rapid temperature increases and decreases are impressive.

6. Steam Ovens

When you choose a steam oven, water is boiled outside the oven and the steam is pumped in, retaining moisture in what you cook and preserving the nutrients and flavors. It requires little to no added fats or oils.  We use these in addition to standard convection/bake broil ovens.

7. Built-in Coffee and Espresso Makers

Built in coffee and/or espresso makers are a big hit with all generations. They are now easier to clean and can be plumbed so there is no filling needed.
