april Fools’ INSTALLATIONS

We feature some of many of our practical designs on our website portfolio. But we also have 007 Design! This is where we get creative, solve problems and fulfill our clients’ wildest dreams. I thought April Fools’ Day was a good opportunity to show some of the foolery and fun we have with our clients in their homes.  Are we joking?

Fiat Smeg Fridge

Can you believe it?! A Fiat 500 crashed through one of my clients’ homes.

Not really, this is a collaboration between Fiat and Smeg—what a quirky little beverage fridge!

Hidden Foyer Elevator

Fooled you! This beautifully paneled foyer conceals an elevator! Created by Classic Construction.

Old Jail Cell Door

This one is in my own home.  A repair man walked in through that door and when it was time to leave he asked “How do I get out?”!  The pattern on the door is a mural by Eazy Wallz.

Panel Closet

We wanted to utilize the space under the steps for storage without losing wall space for sports memorabilia. Very tricky! Another partnership with Classic Construction.

Stealth Storage

We turned a small pantry into a “tasting room” for the homeowners’ wine collection. The room needed to include some practical storage too so we designed a breakfront style hutch to house the small appliances and printer.

A Stone Turned

I keep wondering how many people have stood there wondering how to turn the water on…

Faucet by Watermark Designs.

Window Well

Not a trick question:  What do you do with an unattractive view of a window well’s brick wall?

Answer:  Add a Goldleaf Design Group giant hot pink rubber ducky.
